CTAR Appoints New CEO

RYAN CASTLE APPOINTED NEW CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER OF THE CHARLESTON TRIDENT ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®

The Charleston Trident Association of Realtors® (CTAR) is excited to announce the appointment of Ryan Castle as its new Chief Executive Officer. Castle brings more than 17 years of leadership experience in the real estate industry, most recently serving for 11 years as the chief executive officer of the Cape Cod & Islands Association of Realtors® and Cape Cod and Islands Multiple Listing Service. Previously, Castle served as the Government Affairs Director for CTAR for six years. Castle replaces Wil Riley, who retires on April 30 after 14 years with the Association.

Castle, who grew up in Summerville, has moved back to his hometown and lives with his wife, Mary, and their two children. Over the past four years, Castle has been commuting to Cape Cod and is eager to fully return to the Charleston metro area, where he has deep-rooted ties and extensive experience.

“Ryan’s experience, knowledge, and insight will be a huge benefit to not only our Realtor® members but the Charleston community as a whole,” said John Grisillo, 2025 President of CTAR. “We are thrilled to have him join us and lead the Association as we position Realtors® as property experts who provide valuable services to clients buying and selling homes, as CTAR drives our industry forward.”

In addition to his leadership experience, Castle has a strong history of involvement in the region. Over the past decade, he has served as an advisor on political campaigns and regional public affairs initiatives for local organizations and companies, making him well-versed in the local landscape. He is also recognized as a national leader in Realtor® associations, and has been instrumental in launching several industry-leading initiatives while serving Realtors® across Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, and Nantucket.

“I’ve always wanted to lead this organization, and I’m honored to take on this role,” said Castle. “I can’t wait to get started and help the public see the Association and its members as the trusted real estate experts they are. Together, we’ll work to protect private property rights, improve the region’s quality of life and elevate our industry’s level of professionalism.”

Castle is a graduate of Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Virginia, and is passionate about making a positive impact on the Charleston community.
