The Charleston Trident Association of Realtors® (CTAR) was founded in 1907 and has served as the “Voice of Real Estate” in the Lowcountry region of South Carolina for more than 100 years. Our membership is composed of residential and commercial brokers, salespeople, property managers, appraisers, counselors, and others engaged in the real estate industry.
We work in collaboration and partnership with the South Carolina Association of Realtors® (SCR) as one of 15 local boards and associations across the state and as one of more than 1,200 local boards and associations that comprise the National Association of Realtors® (NAR).
The National Association of Realtors® is America’s largest trade association, representing over 1.5 million members involved in all aspects of the residential and commercial real estate industries and who subscribe to a strict Code of Ethics.
By promoting the highest standards of Professionalism, Ethics, Education, and Technology, the Association will ensure that the Realtor® members are the primary source for real estate services in the South Carolina Lowcountry.
The Charleston Trident Association of Realtors® (CTAR) is dedicated to embracing and enhancing a culture where all Charleston Realtors® feel like they have a seat at the table, a voice in the conversation, and confidence that their voice will be heard. We are committed to having a membership culture where everyone feels safe and respected as both a professional and an individual.
Every three years, the current CTAR Board of Directors collaborates with members and staff to craft a strategic plan that serves as the roadmap of directives for the Association’s work during that timeframe.
