Each year, we honor one residential, one commercial and one global Realtor® as Realtor® of the Year, who is nominated by their peers and colleagues. The residential Realtor® of the Year is announced at the Board of Directors Installation and Leadership Celebration event, the commercial Realtor® of the Year is revealed during a Commercial Investment Division luncheon and the global Realtor® of the Year is revealed during a Global Business Chapter luncheon.
2024 CTAR Realtor of the Year
Wil Riley, CAE, RCE
After 12 years as CEO for CTAR, Wil retired in April. Wil started his real estate career nearly 30 years ago as a sales associate working for Prudential Carolinas Realty which later became Carolina One Real Estate. He later transferred to Century 21 Properties Plus where he was a Broker-in-Charge and opened their Summerville office in 2002.
In 2009, Wil transitioned to the Association side of the real estate industry initially working with Coastal Carolinas Association of Realtors as their VP of Administration and Finance. He joined CTAR in 2011 as VP of Operations. After a national search process, he was named to CEO of CTAR in 2013.
Some of the highlights of Wil’s time as CEO of CTAR include building the current CTAR Headquarters, paying off the mortgage on the CTAR Headquarters, the MLS conversion of 2014, the creation of the SC Commercial MLS in 2018, working with incredible leadership and the growth and evaluation of the staff.
Wil is among the diminishing number of low-country natives—born and raised in Summerville. He graduated from Clemson University where he met his wife, Ann, of over 40 years. They have 2 married children, 1 grandchild and 2 on the way. He is an avid amateur chef, enjoys time on the water and all things Clemson Tigers.
2024 CTAR Global Realtor of the Year Andrea Capers, CIPS, ABR
Andrea Capers, REALTOR® & REALTIST, CIPS, ABR, Brand Name Real Estate, has been licensed in residential real estate since December 2005. Andrea specializes in residential home and land sales. She earned her CIPS and ABR designations. She also has her AHWD and Global Real Estate Practitioner certifications.
Andrea is a Hollywood native. She has served on the CTAR Global Business Chapter board, Charleston Area REALTIST Association board and with the CTAR Realtors® Housing Opportunities Fund. She is in the 2025 class(best class!) of the South Carolina Realtors® Leadership Academy. Andrea has and still volunteers with several nonprofits & organizations including her local church, The Lowcountry Food Bank, Camp Happy Days, Zonnebloem Boys School, a South African Creche and a non-profit in Ecuador. She also enjoys traveling and taking landscape photos.

Will Sherrod, CCIM
Will Sherrod, CCIM with NAI Charleston is a veteran broker in Charleston with over 23 years of industry experience. He specializes in retail leasing, development and investment sales. Focusing on retail assignments with extensive tenant representation and development projects that range from small strip centers to larger mixed-use developments. In addition to landlord and tenant representation along the coasts of NC, SC and Georgia, Will also specializes in net leased investment sales of single and multi-tenant properties and is licensed in North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia.
