The 2024 Nominating Committee has announced their recommendations for the 2025 CTAR leadership positions.
One candidate has been selected for each vacancy and will be elected by acclamation should no additional candidates be submitted. Additional candidates may be placed in nomination by a petition signed by at least 3 percent of REALTOR®️ members eligible to vote. If petition candidates are submitted, email voting will be conducted. Otherwise these slated candidates will be approved by acclamation.
Any petition for additional candidates must be submitted no later than October 15, 2024.
Sarah is a Broker Associate of Charleston’s Best Home Team with Realty ONE Group Coastal. She was born and raised in Prichard, AL., the youngest of 12 siblings and the proud single mom of one daughter, Jessica A. Lee. To meet Sarah is to encounter pure positive energy; that she has drive is obvious. She began her real estate career as an investor, while serving on active duty. Her military background was in the field of health care where she earned an MBA in Health Care Management. After a 22-year career in the United States Air Force, she started a full-time real estate career in 2008, at the height of the market meltdown. But make no mistake, she has proved through her achievements and involvement in the community that she has what it takes to not just survive but thrive. Throughout her real estate career, Sarah has been recognized as a Realtor® of distinction, being amongst the top 10% of agents within the tri-county area.
Sarah has served as President of the CHS Regional MLS Board of Directors and serves on the South Carolina Realtors Board of Directors, along with several other committees. Sarah also currently serves as Immediate Past President of the Womens Council of Realtors Coastal SC. She has earned her CRS, ABR and MRP designations. Sarah is heavily involved in the community and gives much of her time and finances to support other organizations such as Ronald McDonald House, St Jude and Wounded Warriors. Sarah is the founder of Women Destined for greatness, the visionary of its annual summit and provides scholarships to assist women-owned businesses.
Jon Chalfie was named the VP of Brokerage, broker-in-charge of Landmark Enterprises in April of 2020 and is a familiar face in the Charleston commercial real estate market. An economics graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Jon has nearly 25 years experience in commercial real estate. Jon has a wide-ranging skill set of working on different property types including investment properties throughout the Charleston area. He represents businesses who are looking for advice on site selection, negotiation and lease evaluation as well as Landlords who are looking to get their property premium visibility and ultimately the highest return on their investment.
He has development experience and as a former property manager, he offers a wide variety of experience in commercial projects. These experiences allow him to recognize issues that are important to both owners and tenants. Jon has completed over 400 transactions allowing him to more easily recognize deal points that are helpful to get results. He is committed to getting his clients the best value in every transaction and offering them honest advice to make sound long term real estate decisions.
Jon has two grown children and volunteers his time at One 80 Place and coaching youth sports. In his spare time he enjoys live music, golf, and is a passionate supporter of the US men’s national soccer team

Owen has been named as one of the most influential people in Charleston and as one of the top-three most-influential people in South Carolina real estate.
He has served as a director at the local, state, and national levels. Owen has been president of Charleston Trident Association of Realtors®, president of South Carolina Realtors®, and has been recognized as REALTOR® of the Year for the Charleston Trident Association of Realtors®, the South Carolina Realtors®, and the Charleston Global Alliance of Realtors®.
In addition to his work in the real estate industry, Owen has also held leadership positions for the Charleston Regional Development Alliance, The Children’s Trust of South Carolina, and One80 Place.
He currently serves as the immediate past chair of NAR’s RPAC Fundraising Trustees Committee. He is also an RPAC Major Investor, a President’s Circle member, and an RPAC Hall of Fame inductee.
