Planning and zoning serve as the basis for all communities—past, present, and future. This course will teach the basic components and processes of the planning and zoning phases of real estate development, and how these phases must lead us to a better way of developing communities through the application of smart growth principles. The course will provide planning & zoning resources and information to real estate professionals, so they can better assist clients in understanding current and future trends in community development and growth by acquiring practical skills and strategies that can strengthen their business, actively contributing to the creation of environmentally sustainable, equitable, and financially resilient communities.
This course can be used as an ABR elective course.
