Description: This course takes real estate agents step-by-step through the closing process. Starting with the pitfalls of choosing the attorney, the course moves through the complicated world of title insurance to the more familiar territory of gathering information from all the parties.
Next, it enters the more “legal” realm of preparing the deed before moving on to preparing the all-encompassing settlement statement. Then, it is on to the actual closing table where the documents are signed and the funds are disbursed before going to the courthouse to record the documents.
By the end of the journey, real estate agents will feel confident representing the buyer or the seller in a residential real estate closing. An attorney teaches the course so agents can get answers to any legal questions not answered along the way.
